2020 Board Elections

ATTENTION CHS MEMBERS AND SOON-TO-BE MEMBERS! Our 2020 Board Elections are coming up and we are looking for some new partners in crime. Positions for which no one has yet been slated are PRESIDENT (yes, you read correctly), Media Secretary, and possibly Members at Large. While these are the positions we know we need to fill, any member of the CHS can run for any board position they are interested in. Bring on the competition! The only requirements for office are as follows:

  • Must be current paid member (not one yet?! Sign up now for $25!)
  • Agrees to participate in monthly board meetings
  • Is enthusiastic about the the CHS!

Not sure if you'd like being part of the team or not? Come to our next board meeting on Friday, September 13th at 7:30pm at Papa Passero's in Westmont and give it a try! Board meetings are always open to our general members and the society benefits so much from new perspectives and fresh input.

If you would like the nominating committee to slate you or someone else for a 2020 board position, please do so by the end of the day Thursday, September 12th via e-mail to me (hanson.jenniferlynn@gmail.com) and copy our president (rcrowley@chicagoherp.org). The ballot will be submitted at the September 13th board meeting so if you plan on joining us to check it out, you can absolutely submit your name at the end of that night. Elections will be held at our November General Meeting on Wednesday November 30th. Nominations can absolutely be taken the night of elections but your name on the ballot facilitates a more democratic voting opportunity. We look forward to another fun round of elections for 2020!
